Treatments & techniques

Physiotherapy treatments we use at Endrophin

No single machine or technique fixes pain. We choose from a range of evidence-based treatments based on your assessment, and always combine them with exercise you can continue at home.

Dr. Bhawana Aggarwal (PT) is a manual therapist trained in manual and neural mobilisation, a yoga therapist and an aerobic and fitness trainer, so hands-on care and active rehabilitation go together in every plan.

What we treat

Our techniques

Manual therapy, mobilisation & manipulation

Skilled hands-on techniques that move stiff joints and the spine to relieve pain and restore movement. Central to treating back pain, neck pain and frozen shoulder.

Neural mobilisation

Gentle techniques that improve how irritated nerves glide, used for sciatica, nerve pain into the arm and carpal tunnel symptoms.

Myofascial release & trigger point therapy

Sustained pressure and soft-tissue techniques that release tight muscles, muscle spasm and painful knots.

Dry needling

Fine, sterile, single-use needles placed into trigger points to reduce muscle pain and tension.

Cupping therapy

Suction cups that lift and decompress soft tissue to ease muscle tightness, often used for back, neck and shoulder pain.

Kinesio taping

Elastic therapeutic tape that supports joints and muscles, helps control swelling and lets you move with less pain during sport and daily activity.

Electrotherapy: IFT, TENS, ultrasound & laser

IFT and TENS for pain relief, and therapeutic ultrasound and laser therapy for soft-tissue healing, used where they help alongside active treatment.

Traction therapy

Mechanical or manual traction to decompress the neck or lower back in selected cases of nerve root pain.

Hot & cold therapy

Heat to ease stiffness and muscle tension, and cold to settle acute pain and swelling.

Therapeutic exercises

Progressive strengthening, mobility, stability and balance exercises: the backbone of every lasting recovery.

Yoga therapy

Therapeutic yoga adapted to your body and condition, for back pain, posture, breathing, flexibility and stress.

Aerobic & fitness training

Personalised fitness and conditioning programmes from a physiotherapist who is also a trained fitness trainer. Ideal after rehab or for staying injury-free.

  2. 02

    Assessment

  3. 03

    First treatment

Most patients receive treatment on the first visit and leave with something to do at home.

  4. 04

    Your plan

A clear explanation of the diagnosis, how many sessions you are likely to need and what progress to expect.

Questions patients ask

All treatments: your questions answered

What is manual therapy?

Manual therapy is hands-on treatment by a physiotherapist, including joint mobilisation, manipulation and soft-tissue techniques, to reduce pain and improve movement. It works best when combined with exercise.

Is IFT or TENS therapy painful?

No. IFT and TENS deliver a gentle tingling sensation through pads on the skin, adjusted to your comfort. They can ease pain in the short term and are used as part of a wider treatment plan rather than on their own.

Does kinesio taping really work?

Taping can reduce pain and help you move more confidently for a few days, especially during sport. It is a useful add-on rather than a cure on its own, so we use it alongside exercise.

How is yoga therapy different from a regular yoga class?

Yoga therapy is one-to-one and planned around your condition. Poses are modified or avoided based on your assessment, for example with a slip disc or knee arthritis, so you get the benefits of yoga without aggravating your pain.
